As Highway 14 prepares for another expansion, this time north of Red Rock Canyon, Friends of Jawbone President Ed Waldheim is once again hard at work with BLM & CalTrans to maintain OHV access to the designated routes on both sides of the highway.

In the past, Mr. Waldheim has worked closely with CalTrans to ensure that OHV routes which currently cross the 14 aren’t cut-off. This effort has produce the tunnels and through-ways which allow OHV enthusiasts to cross the busy highway legally and safely. The current expansion proposal could affect as many as five OHV trails, with other highway works projects possibly affecting several others.

As always, FOJ will work hard to keep you updated about any closures or re-routings which may result as the highway work begins.
