At its next meeting Wednesday, December 19, 2018 Friends of Jawbone will discuss in detail its plans and those of the BLM Ridgecrest Field Office for the 2019 California OHV grants cycle. This will be an opportunity for the public to provide input regarding projects they would like to see FOJ and the BLM pursue under the OHV grants program.
It is especially important for FOJ members and those of the public to attend this month's meeting because this is everyones community and we all deserve to be heard. Please come with your ideas and share them with us. The meeting will be held at the BLM's Jawbone Station Visitors Center located at 28111 Jawbone Canyon Road (at CA Hwy 14) in Cantil, California.
The annual OHV grant applications are a key part of the partnership between the Friends of Jawbone and the State of California, which issues grants to a variety of entities to improve OHV recreation. These meetings help improve the chance that our community can be improved. This year, we are anticipating $40 million available for allocation.
